Blouses sell full price
On premium platforms, blouses carry the lowest discount load of any major womenswear category and one of the highest sell-through rates. Around a quarter sit on discount, against more than half across most other categories.
The pattern holds across markets. In the Netherlands the gap is even wider, with blouses selling through faster and discounting less than almost anything else on the floor.
Dresses and skirts sit at the other end, with most of the floor marked down.
Blouses are doing the quiet work this season. They land, they sell, and they hold their price.
For brands weighing where to add full-price volume, the blouse floor is the one to study.
