Black dresses trail the floor

On premium platforms in Germany, it is the worst-selling color for dresses.
Black dresses have the lowest top-selling rate of any color and carry the heaviest discount load. Close to two thirds end up on markdown.
Blue, yellow and green all outperform. Blue runs at almost double the top-selling rate of black.
The pattern holds across price tiers. Black underperforms at the low end, in the mid range, and at four-figure prices.
